Too many students and young adults today lack the basic geographic building blocks that are critically important in today's global world. A recent study found that at least 2 in 3 young people couldn’t correctly locate Iraq OR Saudi Arabia correctly on a map. 50% couldn’t correctly point to the states of New York or Ohio!
Rocking the World addresses this cultural ignorance with the magic of music. How many of you know the words to your favorite songs? Was it hard to memorize those classic tunes that still run through your head? If you’re like most people, you quietly sing the alphabet song to yourself when you want to know what letter comes after J. We all know the power of music to make information stick.
